ColourPop Satin & Metallic Liquid Lipsticks | Swatches + Review

I recently came across an online website called VoordeelTrends who has a variety of ColourPop Liquid Lipsticks and three variations of ColourPop highlighters to offer! I was super excited to get my hands on the liquid lipsticks (essentially a lipgloss that dries like a lipstick) as I had heard many amazing things about them. Of course, ColourPop is cruelty free! Not only that, but they are affordable and the products are very long lasting with high pigmentation.

The ColourPop Liquid Lipsticks I purchased. Top is in 'Baracuda', a satin finish and bottom is 'Kween', a metallic finish!

I purchased two ColourPop Liquid Lipsticks. The first is the Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick in the shade 'Baracuda'. It's a gorgeous shade and a go-to lip product for Autumn! The colour itself is a warm, deep purple (or plum if you will). I love it as unlike other darker liquid lipsticks, it doesn't smudge or stain or crack a few hours after application.

The packaging (not pictured here because I threw it away before I took photos - good job, Miah) is simple white cardboard packaging with the COLOURPOP logo and the words 'Ultra Satin Lip' written in holographic text. On the sides of the package, Baracuda is written in a bold black font atop a neon yellow flap which opens the little box the product comes in. I think this shade will suit most skin tones and I'm incredibly pleased with how it looks on my skin tone.

A tip for any liquid lipstick would be to 'prime' lips beforehand. Either by applying Vaseline, exfoliating or a lip primer to make lips soft. You don't want chapped lips when a liquid lipstick starts drying - not cute at all!

The second ColourPop Liquid Lipstick is from the Ultra Metallic Lip collection and it is in the shade 'Kween'. It is a very intense metallic red. I wouldn't wear this for every day, more a night out or to a certain event such as a summer festival.

The formula isn't transfer resistant, so it's durable and has a buttery texture once applied to the lips. Like 'Baracuda', it comes in the same packaging.

All ColourPop prodaucts are made in the United States of America, where they retail for $6,00. As mentioned before, I got mine in the Netherlands where I paid 10,50 euros per liquid lipstick. I have my eyes on the highlighters and pressed shadows, so hopefully I'll be doing a review on those soon!

Did you like this review? What do you think about ColourPop?
