StyleTone April Unboxing!

Hi, everyone! Today I'm back with another StyleTone unboxing. This month's theme was 'Bedoodle Me' and almost all of the products in the subscription box had pink on the packaging which made me fall in love even more. I loved the variety of the products; have a look!

Like every month, I received five full-sized beauty products and I have to say, this month's box was my absolute favourite! I received a pink illuminator, lip balm, Silicone Beauty Blender, a pore refiner and a finishing powder with an SPF of 12.

The very first product that captured my eye was this gorgeous liquid illuminator from Trifle Cosmetics. Initially, I thought it was some kind of lip product due to the shape of the packaging so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that it was a face product. Admittedly, I am unfamiliar with Trifle Cosmetics but if the rest of their products are as good as this illuminator I'm sure I'll be making a few purchases soon!

This is the product straight out of the tube. It's a gorgeous rosy pink colour that I think would suit most complexions. I like the consistency as it is easily blendable and blendable. It is weightless too so would be great for the Spring time to add a flush of colour on the apples of your cheeks.

This is the product after blending; I like the pearly finish the product gives and it's not too pigmented. As mentioned previously, it is buildable so you can intensify the colour if you wish. Because it has a bit of a sparkly sheen to it, I would prefer to keep it like this.

The next product I unboxed is the Note BB Lip Corrector. As pictured above, it has a "3D effect" which essentially makes your lips appear fuller.

This is what the product looks like once out of the packaging. I totally forgot to take a picture of the contents of the product but it's a gorgeous deep pink colour that I adore. Something I really like about this lip plumper is that it is paraben free and contains Vitamin E, which is excellent for moisturising and protecting your lips.

The third product is more of a skincare item. It is the Figs & Rouge Invisible Pore Night Detox Micro Refining Serum. I've wanted a product that makes my pores smaller for ages now so I was so happy when I received this in the mail. I haven't tried it out yet, but I will definitely write a review once I do.

The hype was real with this product! I know there's been quite a debate in the beauty world regarding Silicone Blenders/Silisponges but I don't have too much to say about it as I just use foundation brushes and Real Technqiues Beauty Sponges.
The Silisponge is small and ovular, similar to a sponge but obviously way more compact though a little heavier. I'm super excited to try this out though, as Silisponges are supposed to blend better as they pick up less product plus they are a lot easier to clean than regular sponges and brushes.

The fifth and last product I received is a pressed finishing powder with a sun protecting factor (SPF) of 12 as well as an age protector by the brand 29 Cosmetics. The packaging is a crisp white with a gorgeous silver emblem in the middle of the box that makes the product appear super luxurious.

This is the product on the inside; it is a medium colour pressed powder that is packaged in a silver compact with a built in mirror and compact. The powder has grape seed extract which is beneficial for the skin as it is nourishing. The SPF allows for protection from the sun and the product's included age protectant in the grape seed extract aids in helping skin appear smoother and moisturized as it fights signs of ageing.
That was my review of my April StyleTone unboxing! What did you think of it?

13 Hacks for Low Waste Air Travel | Lifestyle

One thing I often get asked when I travel is 'how do you travel low-waste?', so in today's post, I want to share what I've learnt about traveling sustainably. Often people forget that where they're going may have the biggest impact on sustainable travel. It's no secret that traveling by train is the greener option and should probably the first choice for travel if the destination is close, but if you're flying, here's ways to reduce your carbon footprint.
1. Before you leave

Try to book a direct flight to save on carbon emissionsGo digital  - Download all tickets and refuse paper receipts (unless you need to keep info on paper). This also includes downloading entertainment, instead of buying books or magazines before your trip. Try and get the books secondhand or from the library. Travel light - People pack more than they will ever need to use or wear while on holiday. I try to travel using only carry on luggage by taking into consideration t…

My 3 Step Skincare Routine & Why I Don't Use Coconut Oil ☆

I wear makeup often. About four days out of the week, and I like to do a full coverage routine. It's a preference that I've had for ages as I feel like it just completes the whole makeup look but one thing about me is that I don't clean my brushes nearly as often as I should.  I've recently gotten in the habit of doing so because if I don't, I get horrible breakouts on my cheeks, nose and along my jaw. My skin type is oily and oily skin can also be very acne prone so breakouts are often unexpected. To keep them at bay, I  simplified my skincare routine. I've narrowed it down to three cruelty-free and zero waste products which I use almost daily.

The first product is a facial soap from a zero waste store called Babongo. It's a Pine & Charcoal face soap which I use to cleanse my face  every morning and before I go to sleep. The product is completely natural which I love and maintains the oiliness of my skin.

It was also packaged in paper packaging which i…

What's In My Travel Makeup Bag?! ♡

I was looking through some old posts for future inspiration and i came across my old post about what I keep with me when I travel. A lot has changed since that post regarding beauty and skincare and I'm excited to share it with you! As always, everything I own regarding beauty and most things I own regarding skincare (unless medicated) are cruelty-free or vegan. Here's what is in my current travel makeup bag, in the order that I apply my products!
Eyebrow Kit & Lashes

The Wet n Wild Eyebrow Kit in the shade 'Brunette' has been a holy grail in my makeup kit, not just when I travel. I love that it comes with two pressed eyebrow powders; a dark brown and a black. It includes a wax to set the hairs in place, a tweezer for any last minute fixes, a brush applicator to apply the product and a built in mirror for only €4.79 if you purchase it from BoozyShop. It's one of my favourite drugstore purchases and if you're looking for a new eyebrow product, this might be a …
