What's In My Travel Makeup Bag?! ♡

I was looking through some old posts for future inspiration and i came across my old post about what I keep with me when I travel. A lot has changed since that post regarding beauty and skincare and I'm excited to share it with you! As always, everything I own regarding beauty and most things I own regarding skincare (unless medicated) are cruelty-free or vegan. Here's what is in my current travel makeup bag, in the order that I apply my products!

Eyebrow Kit & Lashes

The Wet n Wild Eyebrow Kit in the shade 'Brunette' has been a holy grail in my makeup kit, not just when I travel. I love that it comes with two pressed eyebrow powders; a dark brown and a black. It includes a wax to set the hairs in place, a tweezer for any last minute fixes, a brush applicator to apply the product and a built in mirror for only €4.79 if you purchase it from BoozyShop. It's one of my favourite drugstore purchases and if you're looking for a new eyebrow product, this might be a good one to try out! I also adore individual lashes as I'm an absolute noob at applying falsies. These ones from Paese are great and include a glue for application!

Eyeshadow & Eye Tints

When I'm traveling I like to have a palette with me. Currently, I've been loving the Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette. It's versatile and I love that it's so easy to use and that the colours are neutral.

I'm also a huge fan of my NYX eye tint. At first I didn't like the formula that much but after using it a bit more, I'm starting to dig it! This shade is in 'New Romance' and it's a gorgeous glimmery gold. It's the perfect primer for a glowy look and doubles up as a highlighter if you blend it out with a light hand. Like a lipgloss, it has a cute doe-like applicator which makes application a breeze.

I never used a primer when I did my makeup before - I know, bad Miah - but because I like a simple makeup routine that's quick to do before my university lectures, I always just skipped it. However, I received this Beebee primer from StyleTone and I think it does a really great job at keeping your makeup on for the whole day. It reduces the size of my pores, keeps a matte face (even without setting powder) and is super handy since I don't wear foundation so it makes my concealer look flawless.

As mentioned above, I don't wear foundation. Instead, I use a mix of two concealers. The first is a green one from Catrice cosmetics which cancels out any redness. The second is one that suits my skin tone from LA Girl in 'Fawn' and is probably one the most raved about drugstore concealers out there. I love both of them as on days where I'm a little bit more red or having breakouts, the concealer from Catrice helps to reduce that and the LA Girl one ensures my skin is one colour overall and along with the primer, provides a nice base for the rest of my makeup.

I highlight with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in the shade 'Sun Dipped'. It's such a pretty, pigmented palette. I often use the shades 'Bronzed' or 'Tourmaline' for cheekbones, 'Moonstone' for browbone and 'Summer' for inner corner highlight.

I'm not a huge fan of blush, but I do love a pop of colour every now and then. To achieve this, I love using the KIKO Rebel Bouncy blush in the shade '04 Passion Red Wine'. It's not a conventional powder blush which makes application pretty easy and versatile as it can be used as a lip tint, too. The formula is great as it's got a lovely satin finish and is compact. The rose gold packaging is to die for and I love that the product comes with a mirror. The only con would be that there's no applicator included.

Mascara is one of my favourite beauty products. I'm currently combining two; one from Alverde and one whose name I forgot because I use it so frequently that the name has been rubbed off the packaging. The reason why I use two is because one has a skinny wand, making it easier to access all the hard-to-reach lashes and gives me length. The other mascara provides me with volume and a stronger pigmentation, so my lashes look thicker and darker.

Lip Products

Lip products are an easy pick. I usually line my lips with a lipliner from KIKO and fill them in with a matching KIKO lipstick in the shade '11'. If I want a nude lip (aka nude lip that will suit my skintone, as "nude" is not a universal shade).

I'll also pack  liquid lipsticks from the NYX Lip Lingerie collection in the shades 'Exotic' and 'Teddy'.

Loose & Pressed Powder
After concealing, I use a little bit of W7's Banana Dreams loose powder to "bake" lightly underneath my eyes and underneath my cheekbones. This ensures a good highlight and sets my makeup for the duration of the day. While baking, I bronze and highlight which are the next steps in my routine. To finish off my makeup, I quickly sweep my powder brush into the Catrice Prime & Fine Mattifying powder to set everything once more. This isn't necessary if you have normal, dry or combination skin, but mine is a little oily and I take this step to ensure that my makeup stays in place all day long.

What did you think of the contents in my travel makeup bag? Do you have anything you recommend for on the go? Let me know in the comments.

All my love,
